DOCUMENTATION REQUIREMENTS: (required by Customs and Immigrations)
For Proof
of Citizenship:
1. Valid Passport (not expired) OR
2. State-issued original or certified copy (NOT a photocopy) of birth certificate
AND valid Government-issued photo ID such as a valid driver's license (school
ID not accepted)
3. Minors:
- Minors under 18 years of age at the time of travel are also required to have
a notarized affidavit signed by both legal parents or guardians, giving permission
for their minor child to travel internationally.
- If the traveler is under the legal guardianship of only one parent, the traveler
will need the notarized letter plus 1) death certificate of deceased parent,
or 2) copy of divorce decree showing that the traveler has only one legal guardian.
If divorced parents have joint custody, both parents must supply a notarized
letter of permission (separate letters accepted) A sample of this letter is
available under "forms".
DO NOT
SEND THESE DOCUMENTS TO OUR OFFICE! You must present
them at the airport ticket counter when you check in. You
will be able to keep them, as you'll also need to present
them again at the security checkpoint and again when you
leave your destination.
NON United
States Citizens must contact their local consulate for
specific documentation requirements. USA Student Travel will
